Alfredo Morelos is looking likely to leave Rangers this summer, having ‘made his mark’ at Ibrox.
That’s according to El Espectador, who say that ‘everything indicates’ the Colombian star will leave the club in the summer transfer window.
Morelos has again been a key player for Steven Gerrard and Rangers this season, with ten goals and four assists in 24 league games this season, helping them to their 55th league title.
He sits on 15 goals and 12 assists in all competitions and currently sits on 92 goals and 42 assists in 173 games for the club since his arrival in 2017.
He has regularly been linked with a move away from Rangers as a result, but El Espectador believe this year may be the one in which it happens after the title win.
They explain the Colombian forward was ‘vital’ to that success, and there is no better way to ‘win the hearts of a fan’ than by scoring goals and lifting trophies.
That is something he has achieved, with it stated he has ‘found his place in the world’ with Rangers and particularly under Steven Gerrard.
Despite disciplinary issues, he ‘never stopped performing’ at the club and as such ‘everything indicates’ that this summer he will ‘make the leap’ to England.
Rangers are eyeing up a deal worth around $30m, around £21.5m, money which would ‘serve to finish consolidating’ the club’s recovery.
Morelos, for his part, has assured the club and fans he is focused on them, and their Europa League run, and that will ‘define’ his future.
But, ‘everything seems to indicate’ he will leave the club having ‘left his mark’ by helping the club to their 55th league title this year.
