This week, reports from France claimed that Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha was offered to Olympique Marseille.
As the winger’s contract with the Eagles expires at the end of the season, it was stated the Ligue 1 side were even interested at the chance of landing him for free.
However, as outlet FootMarseille now features a story about the Crystal Palace player, those claims get dismissed.
Their report learned that Marseille are ‘not negotiating’ Zaha’s arrival at the club after someone at the club told them “everything is false” about those claims.
With Alexis Sanchez potentially leaving the French side this summer, a few transfer rumours have started circulating, but are more focused on the end of their season and will then sit down with the Chilean to see if he can stay longer.
Marseille are obviously not the only club who’ve been linked to Zaha lately, with Arsenal also being said to be a potential destination.
The winger has six goals and three assists for Crystal Palace this season, and despite not being his best year at the club, the chance of signing him for free certainly draws the attention from several clubs.
Now we should wait and see whether Marseille were bluffing or if they are really not interested in the 30-year-old.
