The Argentine media today brings more interesting news on Liverpool’s chase for Brighton & Hove Albion star Alexis Mac Allister.

It’s journalist Cesar Luis Merlo who today writes that the midfielder’s move to Anfield is now at a ‘key stage’.

According to the report, ‘everything is very advanced’ for Mac Allister to leave Brighton for Liverpool this summer.

Next week, the midfielder’s agent, who so happens to also be his father, ‘will travel next week’ to England to sort new details.

It’s claimed that what is left is to ‘accelerate and close’ his departure from Brighton, and even though that’s not detailed, that should have to do with the transfer fee.

Merlo adds that Liverpool put on the table a contract offer until 2028.

This week, we had covered reports from Argentine journalist German Garcia Grova claiming that Mac Allister’s entourage would be having a meeting with Brighton to show the offers they have.

Liverpool had already been claimed to be the ‘most advanced’ side in his race, and it indeed looks like they’re in the final steps to finding a financial agreement with the Seagulls.
