Everton look set to miss out on Bayern Munich striker Joshua Zirkzee with Parma increasingly confident they will complete a deal for him.
That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who says the Serie A team believe a deal could be struck at some point tomorrow.
Everton and Parma were named as suitors for the Dutch striker yesterday, with it reported that both clubs had made formal offers for the player.
Reports in Italy today have since put Parma at the front of the queue, with it claimed earlier today that Parma were holding additional talks with Bayern today over a deal.
Di Marzio now picks up on that, stating that these negotiations are continuing in the right direction according to Parma.
The two parties are ‘ever closer’ to a deal, even though Bayern are now looking for a loan with a right to buy at €15m, rather than €10m.
It’s stated that the deal could be ‘permanently unlocked’ by tomorrow morning and Zirkzee will be on his way to Italy rather than Merseyside.
Everton don’t get a mention, which suggests they’re no longer in the picture for Zirkzee, although why that would be the case isn’t mentioned.
It could be to do with the fact Bayern are now looking for €15m, with it already having been stated that €10m was a difficult price for them to match.
