For someone who rubbished a transfer story in public (Twitter) and claimed he loves Everton, David Henen is being talked about a lot when it comes to a move away from Goodison Park.

The forward, who is yet to make an apperance for the first team under Ronald Koeman, has been linked to quite a few French clubs over the past few months, and Marseille are the latest to add themselves to the queue.

According to RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi, the player is in talks with the Ligue 1 side about a transfer, although no details have emerged as of yet.

Marseille are also reported as having made an offer to Everton for the player, which if they’re talking to the player, should mean it’s been accepted, but we all know that isn’t always the case.

Rudi Garcia’s side aren’t the only French clubs interested, with both Lille and Stade Rennais also mentioned in the journalist’s tweet.

Henen recently admitted to the Belgian press to rejecting a new five-year contract at Goodison Park because of his desire to play first-team football, and claimed “I don’t think [Everton] is the right club for me at the moment”.

Also, this means very little, but David Henen was rather quick to like Mohamed Bouhafsi’s tweet about the news.
