Manolo Gabbiadini has been tipped to leave Napoli in the January transfer window, as the Serie A club want to raise funds to sign a striker.
Arkadiusz Milik’s long term injury has nudged Napoli to bring in a replacement, especially given Gabbiadini has failed to impress Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian forward was linked with a move to Everton in the summer transfer window, after Ronald Koeman took over at Goodison Park, but Aurelio De Laurentiis was reluctant to let him go.
Things have changed quite dramatically, and Everton could be offered another chance to sign their transfer target. Napoli’s former executive director, Pierpaolo Marino, has been speaking to Rai Sport (via Tutto Napoli), and has claimed Everton have revived their interest in Gabbiadini.
He said: “Everton, yes, they returned, I think the future of Gabbiadini is abroad.”
Earlier, it was reported Everton were prepared to pay €25m for Gabbiadini in the summer, but it’s unlikely they would offer that much for him now.
Gabbiadini has scored just two goals in 15 appearances this season, and it remains to be seen if Everton are genuinely keen on signing him having seen his slump.
