Struggling to hold a first-team place under Roberto Martinez, Kevin Mirallas often cut a desolate figure last season in an Everton shirt.

With a change of manager at his club as Ronald Koeman takes over from Roberto Martinez, the former Saint-Etienne and Lille star might have to look at various options for his future if the Dutchman decides he isn’t part of his plans.

Knowing the French league like the back of his hand, Mirallas could be an interesting option for many Ligue 1 clubs looking for an attacking option next season.

According to La Gazette des Transferts, Marseille (who already tried to loan him last summer), Bordeaux and his old club Lille are reported to be queuing up for his services, but probably only on loan.

The Belgium international is on relatively high wages, too high for the budget of most French clubs, and unless he decides to take a wage cut, a temporary move might be his only choice.

Better than sitting on the bench, to be fair.
