The Brazilian season has finally come to an end. On Monday, several TV Channels delivered their prizes for the best players in the league.
For being the top scorer, Gabriel Barbosa visited ESPN and Sportv, which means there are lots of quotes from him about his future flying around today.
One of his interviews was with Globo Esporte, where the player couldn’t confirm where he’ll move to in the January window, and claimed that he will take it easy before making any decisions.
“I have a contract with Inter, I was at the club of my heart,” said the striker, who played for Santos on a loan spell this season. “I have to think straight, calmly. I want to go to a place where I can be happy. I hope to solve this soon.”
Globo Esporte writes that although some Brazilian clubs are after him and Inter want to negotiate the player, it’s more likely that Gabigol will stay in Europe. Then they name Everton and West Ham as sides who have already shown interest.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport also covers these quotes today, and when talking about the possibilities, they say Kia Joorabchian wants to move the player to the Premier League, where Everton, Crystal Palace and West Ham are all keen on him.
Tuttosport claims that Gabigol will only move on a permanent deal, and Inter Milan will demand at least €20m for him. The 22-year-old was the Brazilian league top scorer with 18 goals, five more than any other player.
