Everton have added Fenerbahçe’s Bright Osayi-Samuel to their summer transfer target list, according to claims.
The Turkish club took the 24-year-old from Queens Park Rangers in January 2021 and have used him across various positions in the last 18 months. This term, he has operated across all three positions [fullback, wing-back and winger] on the right side of the pitch, managing two goals and five assists from 42 matches.
His performances for the Süper Lig side have caught Frank Lampard’s attention. That’s what En Son Haber are reporting, and their title reads: ‘Everton want Osayi-Samuel’.
It’s claimed the Toffees have targeted the player at ‘Lampard’s request’. Everton ‘will submit the official offer’ to sign the Nigerian, on condition they stay in the Premier League.
Everton are 16th in the table with 36 points from 35 matches, two points ahead of 17th placed Burnley and 18th placed Leeds United, who have played one more match.
Should Lampard’s side continue in the top division, then the report says they ‘will knock on Fenerbahçe’s door’ after this campaign.
Fenerbahçe, for their part, want to ‘make a good profit’ from Osayi-Samuel’s sale in the summer.
