Since Moise Kean left Juventus for Everton a couple of years ago, the Italian press continually brings stories about his potential return to the Old Lady.
A piece from Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, however, puts some doubt over that move.
They highlight the fact that Kean has been doing pretty well during his loan at Paris Saint Germain, probably earning a place in the Italy squad for the Euros, and that should make his market value go up.
That’s why Everton should demand around €50m when putting him on the market at the end of the season, when his loan with the French side expires. And that could be too much for the Serie A giants.
Calcio Mercato writes it would be ‘crazy’ to spend nearly twice as much the €27m paid by Everton when signing him in 2019. Perhaps with a silent attack at Manchester United’s purchase of Paul Pogba, they say Juventus would be admitting they made a big mistake if signing Kean for that much.
The outlet later claims Juventus are not in need of a player in his position. Their priority would be a centre-forward who can play as a reference in attack, and that isn’t something he could provide.
So even though local newspapers keep saying the Old Lady dream of his return to Turin, we now start seeing a couple of reasons why this deal isn’t that likely for the summer.
