Back on Tuesday, Everton were one of the clubs who were in Lisbon watching Benfica’s win over Lyon in the Champions League.

Now it seems the Toffees officials have gone up north, because according to O Jogo today, they also scouted Porto’s clash with Rangers in the Europa League.

The emissaries saw a very disputed 1-1 draw between the Portuguese and the Scottish side, with goals scored by Luis Diaz and Alfredo Morelos.

Everton have scouted Porto multiple times already this season, so even if they don’t have a target yet, they’re definitely looking for one. This is a job which has been going on since Marco Silva’s arrival at the club.

Porto players who may have drawn Everton’s attention last night were goalkeeper Agustin Marchesin and striker Luis Diaz. Former Real Madrid defender Pepe also did pretty well.

Several clubs had scouts at this match, including the likes of Saint Étienne, Rennes, Monaco, Nice, Bordeaux, Manchester United, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Atalanta, SPAL, Celta Vigo, Betis, Eintracht Frankfurt and Schalke 04.
