We can’t keep up with the Italian claims on Davy Klaassen to Napoli, there seems to be an update every few minutes.

According to reports coming out of the Hotel Melia in Milan, Napoli are closing in on a deal for Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen. The Hotel Melia is where Italian clubs and agent congregate at the end of transfer windows, the idea being it helps deals get over the line.

The Dutchman has been linked with a move to the Serie A leaders in the past 24 hours.

TMW have claimed Napoli are ‘one step’ away from signing the Everton outcast on a loan deal until the end of the season. It’s been revealed Napoli officials are trying to get an agreement before tomorrow’s deadline, and more developments are expected soon.

It’s also reported Napoli have an agreement with Klaassen, and it seems at this stage a move to Italy could happen.

Klaassen only joined Everton in the last window from Ajax, but he’s failed to hold down a place in the team.

Sam Allardyce has stated he would like the Netherlands international to go out on loan to get playing time, and it seems the player isn’t in the plans of the Everton manager this season.

Klaassen has also been linked with a move to Turkey throughout this window.
