Everton are eyeing up a new goalkeeper on deadline day and are in negotiations with Roma for Robin Olsen and Manchester United for Sergio Romero.
That’s according to Gianluca di Marzio, who says the talks are ‘ongoing’ over both players ahead of tonight’s deadline.
The Blues are in desperate need of a new goalkeeper to challenge Jordan Pickford, who has endured a rocky start to the season despite Everton impressing.
Finding a replacement, or at least direct competition has become something of a priority and reports last night indicated they were in talks with Roma over goalkeeper Pau Lopez.
Di Marzio, however, states it is Olsen that they are interested in and talks are underway about a deal, although it’s not made clear whether it would be a loan deal or permanent.
There is every chance it could be linked to a deal for midfielder Bernard, with Roma said to be keen on him as an alternative to Stephan El Shaarawy.
Should that not happen they are also in discussion with Manchester United over Sergio Romero, who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park for several months.

He was widely expected to leave Manchester United after Dean Henderson returned from a loan spell at Sheffield United and signed a new deal.
The Argentine has a pre-existing relationship with Everton chief Marcel Brands, who brought him to Europe as a youngster when in charge at AZ Alkmaar.
A move to Goodison would make sense then, and it appears the Blues are now working to sign either him or Olsen on deadline day.
