AC Milan’s interest in Gerard Deulofeu has been widely reported in Italy, despite Everton being reluctant to let him go in the middle of the season.

The 22-year-old hasn’t been playing enough and reports suggest he is considering switching clubs. AC Milan want to sign the former Barcelona star on loan with the option to make it permanent.

According to a latest report on Sky Italia, Deulofeu is keen on signing for AC Milan. The Spaniard is a top priority transfer for the Serie A giants in January.

However, Sky Italian claim AC Milan might have to wait until the end of the transfer window to reach an agreement with Everton.

Yannick Bolasie’s injury has left Everton with not too many options and it’s quite possible the Merseyside club are hoping to sign a replacement before allowing Deulofeu to leave. A loan move to Milan could be good for Deulofeu, but he’d likely would want to settle at a club permanently and make the most of his talent.

It’s no surprise Everton are making Milan wait, Ronald Koeman will likely want to add to his squad in the attacking positions before letting Deulofeu leave.
