Gerard Deulofeu might have to wait a bit before getting his move to AC Milan, according to Gazzetta on Friday.
After Thursday’s news the Serie A side were hoping the Spanish winger would be able to help force a move by putting some pressure on Everton and Ronald Koeman, the Italian newspaper are now reporting the club are also ready to wait a while for it to happen.
Milan are said to be confident of getting the deal done in the end, especially since Everton are looking for a replacement (they mention Belfodil, even though he’s a striker and not a winger), and are willing to go right down to the wire in order to get their man.
And all of this is despite the fact they are yet to hear from Everton following the fax they sent with an official offer of a loan with an optional view to buy.
This shows exactly how desperate the Italian club are to get Deulofeu, especially considering the fact they are yet to look at alternatives for the Spaniard.
The forward has been used very little by Koeman for Everton this season, having made only 13 appearances so far, and picking up just one assist, in a 45 minute cameo in the FA Cup against Leicester.
