Everton are reportedly ready to open negotiations for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva.
According to Diário de Notícias, the Toffees have already contacted the player’s representatives, who gave the club a positive answer with regards to a move to the Premier League.
The newspaper claims that Everton are aware that Sporting will only talk in case they offer more than €30m, and although this amount is considered to be too high by the English side, an official bid should be made in the next few days.
Adrien Silva has a €45m release clause, which gives Sporting a good margin to negotiate.
Along with the 27-year-old, Ronaldo Koeman would also be interested in his club teammates William Carvalho and Rui Patrício.
However, Adrien is Everton’s main priority at this stage of the window after he impressed this summer for Portugal in the Euros.
