Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have both ‘set their sights’ on Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao, according to a report from TuttoUdinese.
The 26-year-old Brazilian has a contract with the Serie A club which runs until June 2024., having joined them in 2019.
Last season he was a regular for Udinese, making 36 appearances in the heart of their defence. It’s been roughly the same in each of Becao’s campaigns in Italy since his move from Bahia.
TuttoUdinese say the right-footer was one of his club’s best performers last season, and has therefore caught attention from elsewhere. They then go on to mention Tottenham and Everton interest, explain the big difference in each club’s standing right now, and say the asking price would be around €20m.
Gazzetta dello Sport also briefly cover Becao’s future, and they back up Everton being keen, but give no mention of interest from Antonio Conte’s side.
Tottenham are more attractive for the South American, given their Champions League place and immediate future outlook, however, he may feel he’d have a better chance of game time at Everton.
