Niclas Füllkrug has managed 15 goals and five assists from 25 games in all competitions this season. His fine displays for Werder Bremen have attracted interest from other clubs, including Everton.
On Wednesday, SportBild reported the Toffees have their eyes set on the striker. It was also explained they would face a battle to convince him to arrive at Goodison Park in the summer.
DeichStube have relayed this claim and then take a look at Everton’s chances of securing the 30-year-old’s services.
The Germany international’s future is ‘completely open’. A move to the Merseyside club could be financially appealing to him. However, Werder Bremen fans won’t have to worry about it because Everton don’t appeal to the player in a sporting sense.
Füllkrug enjoyed playing with top level players at the World Cup. If he were to leave the Bundesliga side, it’s stated it would be for a top club and not for the likes of Everton.
Sean Dyche’s side are in the 15th spot, a point ahead of Leicester City, West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth. The latter trio have a game in hand. Therefore, a move to Everton ‘makes little sense’ for Füllkrug and is currently ‘not an issue’ either.
