Daniel Wass has one year left on his contract at Celta Vigo and his future at the club remains uncertain.

The Danish international scored four goals and registered nine assists in 35 legaue appearances last season. His form has not gone unnoticed and he is attracting interest from clubs across Europe.

Spanish newspaper Marca reported Everton and AS Roma are the two clubs looking at signing him in the summer transfer window.

Everton’s name has popped up a few times regarding Wass but there’s never seemed anything especially concrete.

Wass is represented by Stellar Group and the report claims there is a friction between the agency and Celta. The situation has made it difficult for the La Liga outfit to tie down the 29-year-old to a new deal.

If Celta fail to cash in from Wass’ sale this summer, they will lose him for nothing a year later. Sources have told Sport Witness there is interest in the player from England and Italy.

Sport Witness also understand a “lots of clubs” are interested in signing Wass in the summer transfer window. The player’s future at the Vigo-based club should be resolved “soon”.
