Everton have been told that striker Beto is ‘ready to say goodbye’ to Udinese if they wish to revive their interest from January in him.
That’s according to Tutto Udinese, who say that the striker is ready to move on from the Italian side after an ‘important offer’ from the Blues in the January transfer window.
They were ready to pay €25m for him as they desperately sought out a striker at that point, having struggled without Dominic Calvert-Lewin this season.
The move did not end up going through, with Beto preferring to stay where he was until the end of the season rather than make a decision on his future late in the window.
It’s been felt Everton would revive their interest in the summer if they stay up this season and Tutto Udinese say that he ‘can make the leap’ to the Premier League.
They believe that the Blues could ‘return to the office’ for the striker if they stay up but even if they don’t, there will probably be another Premier League side keen on him. Napoli have also given more than one thought to a possible transfer.
He, therefore, seems set to move away and they even say that he and teammate Gerard Deulofeu ‘seem to be ready to say goodbye’ and move on this summer.
Whether Beto ends up at Everton remains to be seen, and it is very much dependent on their survival battle going well, but it seems the player is keen to move on if the offer is there.
