Sporx claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen in the January transfer window.
The 24 year old only signed for the Premier League side from Ajax in the summer, but he’s failed to make an impact since his arrival on Merseyside.
Klaassen’s situation at Everton hasn’t improved since David Unsworth was installed as the caretaker manager, after his struggles to get games under former Toffees boss Ronald Koeman.
The former Ajax captain isn’t even making some of Unsworth’s match day squads, and may need to move on in the new year.
Sporx say Fenerbahce board member Hasan Cetinkaya is in talks with Everton over the possibility of signing the player on loan. Fenerbahce are in the need of a creative midfielder and given Klaassen’s experience he could be a decent addition to Aykut Kocaman’s team.
A move away from Goodison Park is likely to depend on Unsworth’s long term future at the club and if the former Everton defender is given the job, then Klaassen could go out on loan until the end of the season.
