FC Sion defender Leo Lacroix signed a contract extension last season at the Swiss club, but reports in Italy suggest he could be leaving this summer.
According to Italian website Gazza Mercato, an offshoot of Gazzetta dello Sport, Serie A giants AC Milan are interested in signing the 24-year-old, but a couple of Premier League sides are also keen on bringing him to England.
Everton and Stoke City have shown interest in Lacroix, who could cost as much as €7m, and both of those clubs could pay higher wages than even AC Milan.
The price tag shouldn’t really be a problem for the Premier League sides should they be genuinely interested, and a deal could be reached quickly.
Lacroix made 29 appearances for Sion last season, and was also impressive in the game against Liverpool in the Europa League, as he kept a clean sheet for his team.
It’s unclear whether the English clubs have been thrown into the mix to boost the rumour, or if there’s a genuine will to sign the player.
