According to France’s RMC, Everton are set to make an offer for Malcom in ‘the coming hours’.
Barcelona have been half-prepared to see the back of the Brazilian this summer, despite him still feeling he has a future at the Catalan club.
With other options being brought in and the possibility of Antoine Griezmann and/or Neymar arriving before the close of the window, Malcom is an obvious option to leave the club.
And where would be an obvious place to send him? Everton, of course.
Barcelona and the Toffees have done some useful business with each other in recent windows, with Andre Gomes, Lucas Digne and Yerry Mina all swapping Catalonia for Merseyside.
RMC believe Everton’s offer will be higher than €35m, which sounds like a pretty good deal for Barcelona given they paid just over €40m.
Arsenal are ‘on the lookout’, but haven’t yet done anything about their interest other than speak to the player’s entourage. Everton are the first to ‘concretely position themselves’.
