Turkish newspaper Takvim claim Everton will send a scout to the game between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray this weekend to watch Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan.
The 24 year old Fener captain has been performing well for his club after returning from a loan spell at Alanyaspor last season, bringing him to the attention of Everton.
Tufan has featured in all Fenerbahce’s 22 league matches in this campaign and has been linked with other Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace.
His contract was due to expire at the end of the season but Fenerbahce’s board acted quickly and extended his stay with the Super Lig side.
However, there’s a release clause in his new contract which is said to be €20m and he could still leave the club in the summer despite his new contract.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti will be looking to strengthen his squad in the transfer window and signing Tufan could be an option.
His contract with the Yellow Canaries will expire at the end of June 2023.
