Everton are keeping an eye on Udinese striker Beto following his superb start to the season in Italy.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the Toffees are one of several sides to started looking at the striker.
The 24-year-old has four goals in seven games in Serie A so far this season, a tally which has him joint third in the goalscoring charts and has helped Udinese to third in the table.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, particularly after he also scored 13 in 34 games in all competitions last season.
Gazzetta state that Fiorentina and Napoli have been looking at him in recent months, with the latter’s president Aurelio de Laurentiis ready to spend €30m on him.
Now there is interest from outside of Italy too, with Borussia Dortmund keeping a close eye on him and the ‘007s of Everton’ also having started to watch him.
We’ll assume they mean ‘spies’, which is, of course, scouts.
There’s no mention of any sort of contact for him at this moment in time, just that Everton are watching him after his ‘brilliant start to the season’.
He’s now at the ‘centre of everything’ Udinese are doing well, and it seems Everton’s efforts to keep track of that are ‘underway’.
