With Carlo Ancelotti now in charge at Everton, we’ll likely be hearing a lot more from Carlo Jacomuzzi in the coming months.

The Everton scout isn’t one to hold back his opinions, and Ancelotti’s appointment at Goodison Park will make him a prime candidate for interviews whenever someone in Italy wants an opinion on the Blues.

He’s already shared his opinion on Ancelotti, having absolved him of blame for the situation he left behind at Napoli.

Before signing at Everton last week, Ancelotti was sacked by Napoli, with the side trailing desperately in the Serie A title race and in danger of missing out on Champions League football next season.

His arrival at Everton was surprising to many, with the consensus being that the Blues have pulled off a major coup in getting the veteran boss to join their club.

Jacomuzzi is undoubtedly in that bracket, admitting he though Ancelotti would end up at another Premier League club.

“Ancelotti to Everton? I expected him to go to Arsenal,” he told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, relayed by Il Napoli Online.

“Everton is not a great team environment and getting into such a situation is strange for him.”
