Romelu Lukaku caused a scare among Everton fans after he had to be taken off in Belgium’s 4-0 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina because of an injury.

The 23-year-old scored a goal in the game, but was booed by the demanding Belgium fans for missing a sitter.

Shortly after the game, it was confirmed Lukaku picked up a thigh injury, but it now seems he has brushed it off to make himself available for Belgium’s next match against Gibraltar in Portugal.

Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur posted a picture on Twitter confirming Lukaku was travelling, and that therefore his injury isn’t serious, and that should be a relief for Ronald Koeman and Everton fans.

Everton play Manchester City next weekend at the Etihad, and Lukaku’s availability is crucial for the Merseyside club. The Belgian international has already scored five goals in the Premier League this season, and will looking to add to that against the league leaders.
