Everton are ‘ready to send’ Jean Philippe Gbamin to Galatasaray as the Turkish side eye up a deal for the midfielder.

That’s according to Fotospor, who say the Everton man has been added to the list of options being looked at by the Super Lig side.

They explain that Galatasaray are looking for a ‘front libero’ for their midfield and, after failing to sign Gedson Fernandes from Benfica, are now turning their attention to Goodison Park.

They state that Everton are ‘ready to send’ the 26-year-old midfielder to Turkey as there is ‘no future for him’ on Merseyside.

Gbamin has been beset by a series of injury problems since a £22.5m move from Mainz in 2019 and has only made eight appearances for the Toffees since then.

He returned to fitness this season but has found himself out of favour again, with just three appearances to his name all season.

Everton are now ready to cut him loose and bring his miserable spell in England to an end, and it seems Galatasaray are interested in a deal.

Fotospor make no mention of whether they’d like a loan deal or a permanent one but given Turkish clubs very rarely spend their money, we’d suggest it’s probably the latter.

That’s something we’re sure will come out in the coming days, with this a potential deal to keep an eye on before the end of the January transfer window.
