Marca Aymen Abdennour August 18thAnother day, and more claims from Spain about Aymen Abdennour, a transfer which appears to be creeping along without much happening.

It’s Thursday now, the story started in Spain around a week ago, with claims an agent had informed Valencia of Everton’s interest. Valencia seemed quite excited, and soon enough it was all over the media.

There were claims of talks, and even a deal being close for the Tunisian, and then Peter Lim flew to London. The Valencia owner and incredibly wealthy businessman was said to have travelled to England for talks over Abdennour, and other players too.

However, the weekend came and the weekend went without anything happening. Monday brought new stories about a deal being close, but then it was revealed there’d been no actual bid made by Everton yet.

And that’s where the story stands, as it was a week ago but not quite as excitable.

Marca report in their Thursday edition that Valencia are awaiting the ‘final movement’ of Everton, and remain keen to sell the player.
