Everton have ‘probed the ground’ with Mino Raiola to discover if Zlatan Ibrahimović would be open to a move to Goodison Park.

Ibrahimović is a free agent having ended his association with La Galaxy but is yet to decide upon his next move.

A return to AC Milan has been heavily mooted, but according to Arena Napoli, who are pushing this Everton claim as exclusive information, the Swede is aware he ‘still has admirers’ in the Premier League.

The Toffees are said to have contacted Raiola to see if his client would be open to a second stint in England. Everton have a relationship with the ‘super-agent’ having worked with him during Romelu Lukaku’s time at the club, while he is also Moise Kean’s agent.

They want him to ‘evaluate the margins of a possible acquisition’ and would be willing to offer Ibrahimović €4m per year in wages, a figure which will be after tax.

That would make him Everton’s highest earner, ahead of Bernard, who is currently at the top of the pile earning just under €3.7m.

It’s explained that they’d give Ibrahimović a deal until the summer of 2020, with a signing bonus of €200,000.

Should things go well, there is also the possibility of extending his stay until 2021 with similar wages to what they are proposing in the first deal.

How Ibrahimović views the offer isn’t mentioned, but he also has interest from AC Milan and Napoli, who can offer Champions League football, meaning Everton will face a fight to convince him theirs is the best offer.
