Everton FC’s interest in the Palermo striker Ilija Nestorovski keeps being a thing in Italy.
The chase has been reported for a few days now, with different outlets claiming the Toffees will make an approach for the 26-year-old soon.
Now it’s the newspaper Corriere Dello Sport giving the same information today, saying that Everton officials were spotted watching the player in the match against Juventus last Friday.
Ronald Koeman’s side would be preparing to offer £17m for the player, although the newspaper can’t say if this amount would be enough to take him from Palermo.
Nestorovski’s good season in Serie A has been attracting the interest from many European clubs lately, with Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Sevilla both being recently linked to him.
The striker has nine goals in Serie A this season, which means he’s comfortably Palermo’s top striker. His current contract with the club runs until 2019.
As he cost the Italian side only €500k last summer, a sale for such an amount would undoubtely mean a pretty decent profit for them.
