Turkish newspaper Star claim Oumar Niasse has been offered to Besiktas but the Istanbul club’s manager Sergen Yalcin has rejected the chance to sign the Senegalese international.
Niasse is expected to leave Everton when his contract expires at the end of the season, and there were reports in the Turkish press he could return to the Super Lig after his spell with Akhisarspor in 2013.
According to Star, Besiktas was seen as a possible destination for the player after his agent offered him to the Turkish club, but Yalcin isn’t keen on the Everton player.
The former Lokomotiv Moscow striker cost Everton €17.9m when they signed him from the Russian club in 2016, but he’s failed to make an impact during his time on Merseyside.
After a loan spell with Cardiff City last season he returned to Goodison Park last summer, but it’s clear that he’s not in Carlo Ancelotti’s long-term plans.
Niasse has made three appearances for Everton this season, playing just 19 minutes of Premier League football.
