This week, we’ve already covered reports claiming Everton are putting Yerry Mina up for sale in the summer transfer window.

It was claimed in Italy that the Toffees made an ‘official’ decision to get rid of the 27-year-old, with an initial request of €15m for his move.

So as the Colombian media now covers the situation, the regional version of Marca points out that since there’s only one year left on Mina’s contract with Everton, he should either renew with the club or they will force his sale to avoid losing him for free.

Regarding any chances of the defender trying to run down his contract at Goodison Park to leave as a free agent next year, they say this ‘doesn’t seem very likely’.

That’s because Mina wants to play, and putting himself in such a delicate situation at Everton wouldn’t help him with that.

This season for the Toffees, the Colombian only made 14 appearances, missing most games because of injuries.
