In the final hours of the January transfer window, Everton allowed Yannick Bolasie to join Anderlecht on loan until the end of the season.
The DR Congo international spent the first half of the season on loan at Aston Villa where he made 21 appearances in the Championship, which included only nine starts.
Last month, the forward’s loan deal was cut short and he returned to Goodison Park and since then, he’s been on the list of Newcastle United and his former club Crystal Palace, if reports are to be believed.
Belgian newspaper Het Belang van Limburg claims that he ‘talked a lot’ with Romelu Lukaku before deciding to join the Jupiler Pro League outfit.
The two played together when they were at the Merseyside club before Lukaku left Everton and moved to Manchester United in 2017.
The Red Devils striker, who has been good friends with Bolasie, also knows about Anderlecht, having previously played there.
It was Lukaku who ‘advised’ the attacker to join the Belgian side.
