During the last international break Everton loan player Enner Valencia found himself at the middle of a legal chase over an alleged debt of child maintenance. The player, owned by West Ham, didn’t feel the debt needed to paid because he now has custody of the child, but there was a warrant issued for his arrest.

That’s now been cancelled and Valencia can get through the current international break without having to dodge the authorities and worry he won’t get back to Everton on time.

But there’s been another big event in the player’s life… he’s become a father again. The proud father of a baby girl, Valencia has said it gives him even more motivation to succeed, which can only be a good thing for Everton.

Aficion quote Valencia as saying: “It’s a big responsibility, it’s a motivation for me, it’s something that motivates me to keep working much harder.”

Valencia hasn’t started a Premier League game for Everton since his loan from West Ham, and it would appear the extra motivation could come in handy to impress manager Ronald Koeman.
