Everton forward Cenk Tosun found his goalscoring touch with Turkey during the recent international break after he scored a brace against Moldova on Tuesday night.

His goals in the 4-0 victory mean Turkey remain ahead of France in their qualifying table, with just four games to play.

Tosun’s performances have caught the attention of the Turkish media and Star have gone with the headline ‘Tosun Pasha is back’.

They say Everton boss Marco Silva isn’t keen to use him despite his great professionalism, but they believe Tosun has sent the Portuguese manager a message by scoring two goals for his country this week.

The Turkish striker, who captained his side against Moldova, said after the game they want to qualify to the Euro 2020 and promised they will do all they can to get a result against France next month.

Despite his return to form with Turkey, his future at Goodison Park looks uncertain after failing to get any minutes in the Premier League this season. Tosun’s only contribution in this campaign was a brief appearance in Everton’s EFL Cup clash with Lincoln City.

Tosun was linked with a return to the Super Lig this summer following reported interest from his former club Besiktas.

For the Turkish press, it’s a mystery that Silva doesn’t rate Tosun enough to use him regularly.
