Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s Everton contract runs out at the end of June.

The striker has had a disappointing campaign and has found the back of the net only three times in the Premier League. He’s also lost his starting spot in the side due to injury, with Beto now the preferred striker.

Despite Calvert-Lewin’s injury issues and bad form, he is already attracting interest from clubs.

Calciomercato.it have reported that Napoli are keeping a close eye on the Premier League and it cannot be ruled out that they make an approach for the Everton star, as they are attracted by his upcoming free agent status.

AC Milan are also an interested party and they are closely following the situation, with the Englishman having been previously linked with a move to AS Roma too.

The report states that it is a ‘trail to be followed’ closely, amidst Napoli’s belief that Calvert-Lewin’s profile is very similar to that of Romelu Lukaku, who has been a key player this season. As a result, they see him as an ‘important reinforcement’.

The Naples club’s success with moves for ex-Premier League players like Scott McTominay, Lukaku and Billy Gilmour is perhaps a clear reflection of why they’re considering bringing the Everton player to Italy.

Napoli are currently top of Serie A, three points clear of Inter Milan. For the 28-year-old to get a move to such a club would be a huge career boost.
