Everton starlet Moise Kean has been named in the final twenty for this year’s prestigious Golden Boy Award.
The accolade, compiled annually by Italian newspaper Tuttosport, sees the world’s best young footballers competing to be named as the best talent in world football.
Kean finds himself in distinguished company, with the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, João Félix and Jadon Sancho all among the nominees.
The striker enjoyed a breakout campaign at Juventus last year, scoring seven goals in 17 games, including six in 13 in Serie A, to help the Bianconeri to their eighth straight title.
He also broke through on the international stage, scoring on his debut against Liechtenstein and bagging another against Finland three days later.
That form earned him the attention of several European sides this summer, with Everton eventually winning the race for his signature in a €25m deal.
It’s not the first time an Everton player has found themselves on the list, with Wayne Rooney and Romelu Lukaku finishing second in 2003 and 2013 respectively.
Kean will be hoping to better the former Blues strikers this year, although he faces stern competition, with João Félix thought to be leading the race.
