Everton striker Cenk Tosun has spoken to Bein Sports Turkey about when expects to resume training and his ambitions for next season.

The forward is currently recovering from a knee injury which kept him out of Turkey’s last game.

Tosun has told Bein Sports he’s very determined to force himself back into Everton’s starting eleven but will only return to full training in the coming weeks: “It was a good holiday season with my friends, family. But now, it’s time to work hard. I’ve already started indoor workouts. My injury is getting better and better. I will start working in the middle of July.”

Last season the Turkish international struggled to get games under Marco Silva and finished the campaign with just three Premier League goals.

This has led to speculation he could return to the Super Lig this summer with his former club Besiktas said to be interested in taking him back on a loan deal.

Their local rivals Fenerbahce have also been linked. However, after it was confirmed last week that Max Kruse will be joining the Yellow Canaries, Tosun moving there now looks unlikely.

Given his latest comments it seems like he’s ready to commit himself to Everton which he’s also previously stated in interviews with the Turkish press.
