For months the Colombian media have been voicing their strange suspicion over Yerry Mina’s injury situation at Everton.
Seemingly more used to how clubs in Spain and other countries release injury information – by giving a full and often detailed medical report – there was a confusion over why the Toffees were being more guarded.
Now there’s another injury, but there should be more clarity on this one, because it’s happened whilst Mina was playing for Colombia.
Marca Claro say it’s another ‘ordeal’ for the defender this season, and it’s assumed in Colombia to be a hamstring injury, in the left leg, which will keep Mina out for a ‘minimum of three weeks’.
That’s looking on the optimistic side, if it’s a tear, depending on the grade, then the layoff will likely be longer.
Playing against South Korea, Mina attempted to clear on the edge of his own box. However, the Everton player completely missed the ball and ended up injuring himself.
