Everton appear to have their eye on someone at Benfica ahead of upcoming transfer windows.

They had someone at the midweek Champions League clash between Benfica and RB Leipzig, and then a Toffees official was in attendance as FC Porto faced Young Boys in the Europa League on Thursday evening.

That was in the north of Portugal, and on Saturday evening they had someone there again, but were probably watching someone from Benfica again, as the Lisbon club beat local team Moreirense 2-1.

Record report Everton were watching the game, as well as clubs including Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Villarreal, Eintracht Frankfurt, Atalanta, Bordeaux and Manchester United.

The Portuguese newspaper believe the best player on the pitch was Rafa Silva, who scored Benfica’s first goal. That goal came in the 85th minute, after Moreirense had been leading since just after half time.

Haris Seferović got the winner for Benfica in injury time.
