Everton were reportedly one of the many clubs who had representatives at Benfica’s league match against Boavista on Tuesday night.

Newspapers A Bola and O Jogo both report the Toffees’ presence, although neither of them seem to know who the club had an eye on.

With a great performance overall, the Eagles won the game 5-1, and had several of their players highlighted by the local media.

Winger Pizzi, with one goal and one assist, and second striker João Félix, with one goal and two assists, were the most praised by the newspapers. But goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos, left-back Alex Grimaldo and striker Haris Seferovic, who scored a brace, also deserved some attention for their good performances.

Everton have been watching a few Benfica games lately, but haven’t been linked to any of their players this month.

There’s clearly a target, we just don’t know who it is.

There had been a little rumour about an interest in Andrija Zivkovic in December.

However, against Boavista, the winger only came off the bench in the second half, and did nothing relevant to the game’s result.
