Earlier on Tuesday Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla launched a story saying Davy Klaassen had been offered to Napoli, and the Italian club are considering signing the former Ajax player.

That then spread around the Italian media with various different outlets then getting their own confirmation that a transfer could be on the cards.

With Napoli keen on Klaassen before he moved to Goodison Park in the summer, the claims made some sense even if there’s not a lot of time to get a deal done.

Now, Pedulla has a fresh update, reporting that Everton have ‘totally opened’ to the transfer in the past few hours and are ready to relax their conditions for a late transfer.

According to the latest claims, Everton are now prepared to send Klaassen to Napoli on loan for the rest of the season. But, as things stand, the Serie A club have other priorities they want to get in first, with Klaassen remaining a consideration.

Calciomercato are going with the loan route as well, saying Napoli would have a right of redemption.
