Napoli midfielder Allan is likely to end up at Everton this summer as he edges towards an exit this summer.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move away from Napoli this summer, having seen his relationship with the club deteriorate over the last 12 months following a failed move to Paris Saint Germain.
The situation has only worsened since the arrival of Gennaro Gattuso as manager, with Allan falling out of favour under the Italian coach.
That has led to widespread speculation that he will be sold and Everton have regularly been named as suitors.
They were linked throughout the January transfer window as reports insisted that Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti was keen on a reunion having worked with the midfielder in Naples.
Ultimately a move never happened, but the rumours have not gone away, with Everton continuing to be linked with a move at some point this summer.
And Tuttomercatoweb journalist Niccolò Ceccarini certainly sees that happening, saying Napoli are already planning for Allan’s replacement.
“Another name to always keep in mind is that of Veretout. Roma would not want to sell, but in front of an offer important could make a reflection.”
This is backed up by fellow journalist Emanuele Cammaroto, who goes one step further in his coverage of the potential deal by revealing a bid.
Several reports over the last week or so have indicated Everton have already bid €30m, which was rejected by Napoli, who want €40m.
It was felt that a deal could be struck somewhere in between and Cammaroto insists that is the case, adding another name to the list of replacements Napoli have drawn up.
“Allan will start in midfield approaching Everton,” he told NapoliMagazine, relayed by AreaNapoli.
“The English coached by Carl Ancelotti offer 30 million, Napoli wants 40 million euro but the deal will be made.
“Jordan Veretout is the most feasible option (to replace him) but not the only one. Gattuso is pushing for Franck Kessié.”
