The Catalan press can’t really believe that Yerry Mina hasn’t made his debut for Everton yet.
Signed from Barcelona on a €32m deal earlier this month, the Colombian international is still to make an official appearance for the Toffees due to a foot injury.
Outlet Sport has a story about it today, reporting that despite moving on a ‘brilliant operation for Barça for the economic benefit’, the defender is still to show his skills to Everton’s fans.
They call the story the ‘mystery of Yerry Mina with Everton’, and point out that the first predictions said the player would be fit in just a few days, which didn’t happen.
Even though Everton manager Marco Silva has recently claimed that the player should be back right after the international break, Sport claims that ‘at the moment, the injury that was done in a training session, which should not be more impediment, appears almost as a mystery’.
The Catalan press is also waiting for the debut of André Gomes, who also moved from Barça and is still to play for the Toffees.
