Besiktas have ‘taken action’ to sign Dele Alli from Everton and are ‘preparing to sign’ the midfielder.
That’s according to NTV Spor, who pick up on reports of an impending loan deal for the Everton man.
Earlier today we covered reports from Turkey that Alli is set to move on loan to the Super Lig side, who are negotiating a loan deal with an option to buy included.
NTV Spor now say that Besiktas have ‘reached an agreement’ with Everton to sign the 26-year-old on loan.
This is backed up by journalist Ovunc Ozdem, who says an official offer has been submitted and Everton sent back a ‘positive’ response.
He says that talks with Alli are ‘ongoing’ and if he accepts the offer he is due to arrive in Istanbul on Friday.
A Spor, meanwhile, state that Alli is set to earn €2.2m, around €45k a week, during the duration of his loan deal.
Whether that’s the entirety of the wages he earns at Goodison Park isn’t clear, but we’d suggest it’s a fair chunk of his current pay packet.
Either way, it seems this deal is progressing quickly and Everton may have found a way to dodge paying Tottenham for Alli this year, at least.
