Moise Kean has four games left to convince Juventus to keep him at the club this summer, with them currently keen to avoid signing him permanently from Everton.
That’s according to Gazzetta Dello Sport, who say the Italians are yet to be convinced to pay the €31m that’s part of the agreement with the Toffees.
Kean is currently on loan with the Serie A side, having returned last summer as a late replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The initial deal was a two-year loan with an obligation to buy for €31m included for next year, but that is too much for Juventus, who have been left unimpressed by Kean’s ‘fluctuating performances’ this season.
They’d rather spend their money elsewhere and are ‘convinced’ that Kean can be moved on and has a market in the Premier League.
The problem is the agreement with Everton, which ‘complicates’ the process and will have to be renegotiated if Juventus are to move Kean on somewhere else this summer.
They’re set to make their ‘final assessments’ before the end of the season, with Kean given ‘four more games’ to prove that he deserves to stay.
If he can’t, they’ll seek to sit down with Everton and work something out, with the obvious answer being they pay Everton their €31m this summer and then sell Kean on.
That’s something that the Toffees would surely agree to given their financial state and the fact they’d be making €31m a year early, which is great for their troubled accounts.
It seems, though, that’s something Juventus aren’t all that keen on doing as yet, so expect talks of them trying to negotiate Everton down in the coming weeks.
