Dele Alli has asked Everton not to be a part of their squad for the clash with Nottingham Forest today as he wants to finalise a move to Besiktas.

That’s according to A Spor and their journalist Sercan Dikme, who say the midfielder has spoken to Everton about the situation today and made his stance clear.

Dele has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park throughout this week, with Besiktas keen on his signature.

They’re pushing to get a loan deal with a purchase option over the line and have the approval of the player, who is keen on the move to the Super Lig according to reports in Turkey.

A deal has been quickly progressing and yesterday it was reported that only the final details needed to be fixed, with Besiktas hoping to have Dele in the stands for their clash with Fatih Karagümrük on Sunday.

Whether that happens remains to be seen but it appears Dele is pushing for an agreement, with A Spor reporting that he wants the move ‘very much’.

In fact, so big is his desire to seal the deal that he has ‘informed Everton’ that he did not want to be a part of the squad for the clash with Nottingham Forest today.

Dikme details that further, stating the midfielder has ‘just met with his club’ and said that he does not want to be a part of the matchday squad.

Whether that has been granted isn’t clear, but Besiktas are ‘working hard’ to secure his signature and Everton’s demands ‘are not unresolvable’.

In other words, it’s more than possible to get a deal done and Dele’s wish to miss out today could be the incentive needed to push things along.
