There isn’t a lot of good news for Milan fans who want Romelu Lukaku signed by the club.

As reported by Calcio Mercato today, the Everton striker is one of the many players the Italian side would like to have for the future, but things won’t be easy for them.

Lukaku would be keen on renewing his contract with the Toffees, and the salary is the first thing that gives the Liverpool club an advantage. Everton would be offering the player a salary of €6m per year, something hard for Milan to match.

Plus the player’s price wouldn’t be any good. Calcio Mercato claims he would only leave for somewhere in between €60m or €70m, which is most likely too much for the Italian side, even with their new backing arriving at the beginning of next month.

Lukaku is frequently linked to Serie A clubs because his agent is Mino Raiola, but, at the end of the day, the player’s will to join the league is never really considered in these articles.

And we all know how ambitious the Belgian striker is.
