Some of Everton’s transfer plans for the winter transfer window are today detailed by journalist Rudy Galetti, and they include a Leeds United player.
It all starts with the reporter bringing some news on the future of Paris Saint Germain striker Hugo Ekitike, who could leave the French side in January.
It’s claimed that despite interest from Premier League sides such as Crystal Palace and West Ham, he’s unlikely to be pursued by Everton.
The Toffees may have been linked to him in the past, but now they don’t consider him ‘a priority’ for the middle of the season.
According to Galetti, Everton have another target for the winter market, and that’s Leeds United forward Wilfried Gnonto.
It’s said that the Toffees ‘could make a new attempt’ to get the 20-year-old signed in January.
Featuring for Leeds this season, Gnonto has one goal and one assist in 12 appearances.
The Italian media is often wondering whether he’ll be back to Italy in a near future, but now it seems he could end up moving to Goodison Park.
The Leeds player is valued by Transfermarkt at €18m, and has a contract with the Whites running until 2027.
